Hi, this is Andy Jawlik. Welcome to my first blog post. The scope of this blog is statistical concepts within the scope of Statistics I and Statistics II and Six Sigma black belt. That's also the scope of my book, Statistics from A to Z -- Confusing Concepts Clarified which will be published by Wiley in October 2016.
So, things won't get too heavy here. The goal is to keep things simple and clear up confusion on basic statistical concepts. One thing you may wonder about: statistical terms like Standard Deviation, Degrees of Freedom, etc. are capitalized in this blog as in the book. This helps make them stand out. One regular feature of this blog which I hope you'll enjoy is the Statistics Tip of the Week. These will be short explanations of concepts in statistics, usually with an illustration to help clarify things. So far, I've identified enough of these to fill up a year. Please leave a comment if you have any suggested topics for these tips. Actually, please leave a comment on anything about statistics or the book. I'd love to hear from you. Also, you can follow me on Twitter at @statsatoz
